To enhance their education and supplement their physical, and cognitive development, the school aims to offer all students opportunities to participate in residential trips & days out .
Our students visited places as far afield as The Lake District, Portsmouth, Dorset, Somerset, Stonehenge (see letter above) and the Isle of Wight, and participated in climbing, walking, abseiling, canal boats, horse-riding, caving and many more unique cultural experiences that the students loved.
These trips play an essential part in developing student’s independence skills; they enjoy trying new activities and building their confidence through challenging and exciting experiences and exploring and engaging with the natural environment.
. Through the generosity of many donors over the years, Hearts of Oak have been able to make an annual donation towards these unforgettable experiences; and have received incredibly generous support from the Eleanor Palmer Trust, which funded so many of the trips. On behalf of every smile from every pupil a HUGE thank-you to all at the Eleanor Palmer Trust for such an amazingly generous contribution.
